Peter
Peter was first bitten by the Pilates bug in the mid nineties. Astounded by what it could do for both his body and mind Peter shifted his focus from a career in (and lifelong passion for) transport and trained as a Pilates teacher with Body Control Pilates in 1999. Peter started teaching in 2001 and so Alderley Pilates was born. Together with wife Jan he founded the studio in 2002
I started teaching in 2001, and that's when Alderley Pilates was born. I founded the studio together with my wife Jan in 2002.
Today, I teach Master Matwork and the Reformer, run several private lessons and a dedicated Back class. I’m also a Supervising Teacher for Matwork, and work with teachers preparing for their Reformer course. I’m also responsible for our finance, business development and marketing.
I’m a Council member for the Body Control Pilates Association (BCPA), a member of the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs), and an accredited Nordic Walking instructor.
Peter says: “The best thing about Alderley Pilates is the clients – and the stunning sunsets we can see out of the studio windows.”
