I have been dancing since the age of three. I graduated with a BA Honours degree in dance at Liverpool John Moores University, set up my own contemporary dance company, and performed in various professional settings.
Then I found a passion in teaching.
Pilates is a great way to keep mobile and maintain flexibility as well as build and develop your full strength. I had heard about the benefit of Pilates for dancers, so was keen to teach it.
I qualified with Body Control Pilates in December 2011. In 2015, I passed the Advanced Mat exam, and am now a Master Matwork instructor – my proudest achievement to date in my career as a teacher.
In the same year, I qualified as a DDMIX instructor. DDMIX is a cardio dance workout created by Darcey Bussell of the Royal Ballet, and a popular weekly class on our timetable.
